How it works
From PDF to spreadsheet without retyping a single number
Most invoices are generated by software, so the numbers are already in the PDF as text. LineItemCSV reads that text layer and rebuilds the table.

LineItemCSV reads the text layer, locates the item table by its column headers, and pulls the invoice number, date, vendor, tax and total.

Every line item becomes a row. Invoice-level details repeat on each row so you can filter, pivot or import without lookups.

Totals are double-checked
After extracting the lines, LineItemCSV adds them up and compares the sum with the invoice's subtotal or total. Files that reconcile get a green “Lines match total” badge; anything off is flagged before you import it.
Honest failures
Scanned images, password-protected files and documents without amounts are rejected with a plain-English reason — and never use up a conversion. If an invoice has totals but no item table, you still get a one-row summary.

Multi-line descriptions, item codes, multi-page tables with repeated headers, European number formats (1.234,56 €), day-first dates and common English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch column names.
